This medium density residential project is situated on Dening Street, The Entrance, which is within the Central Coast Council municipality. The location of the project is approximately 300m from the Entrance Beach and local lakeside shopping centre. Within close reach of local recreational facilities and main shopping strip, the project’s intention is to reflect the aspirational living-by-the-water coastal lifestyle for which the area is renowned.

The building is spread over four levels with 19 oversized apartments and a basement level garage with 27 parking spaces. Design consideration was taken to maximum the water view from the top floor with a large balcony orientated towards the beach, and lower-level balcony oriented to enjoy the views of Shore Park & the cricket ground on the opposite side of Dening Street. There were many challenges as this was the first boutique residential development in the area and we worked hard to create a transitional building connecting the high-rise residential tower to the single level dwelling along Dening Street.

Enhance Project was engaged to provide architectural design and project management services. To keep the client’s brief and profit a priority, we successfully communicated with local council and relevant consultants to move the project forward with pre-DA meetings and consistent exchange of information between the council engineer/planner and the project team. The challenges involved groundwater and waste management, while special consideration was taken to minimise the size of the basement and how waste management was operated according to the council’s requirement.
